ACR Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases
Conference
Join the American College of Rheumatology at the
2007 Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases Conference in Arlington, Virginia. This is a unique conference that is
held every other year and is designed to provide an open forum
for representatives of academia, industry, and the Food and
Drug Administration to discuss the development of new therapies for rheumatic diseases. New this year, there will be a
preconference course entitled Introduction to Clinical Therapeutics Research in Rheumatology. This course has been
designed to provide fellows-in-training and junior faculty a
chance to learn methodology so that they can better participate
in the main conference. The Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases Conference will be held March 2–4, 2007. The
deadline for early registration is February 2, 2007; after that
date, registration fees will increase. For complete program

ACR Rheumatology Board Recertification
Examination Preparation Course
For rheumatologists who need to recertify in the next
10 years, the American College of Rheumatology will conduct
the Rheumatology Board Recertification Examination Preparation Course, March 16–18, 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The case-based course will focus on disease management
problems and key advances in practice over the past 10 years.
Two American Board of Internal Medicine self-evaluation
modules will be reviewed during the course; attendees will be
eligible to receive both AMA PRA Category 1 credits and 40
points in the self-evaluation of medical knowledge category for
the Maintenance of Certification program. The deadline for
early registration is February 16, 2007; after that date, registration fees will increase. For complete program information

ACR State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium
The American College of Rheumatology’s 2007 Stateof-the-Art Clinical Symposium will be held April 13–15 in
Chicago. This symposium provides up-to-date, cutting-edge
information on a broad array of topics in rheumatology.
Attendees may choose to also attend the preconference Practice Management Course, Making Your Office Run Like
Clockwork, on Friday, April 13. Back by popular demand, the
ACR is pleased to offer workshops during two convenient time
slots during the State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium. These
workshops provide an opportunity to interact with topic experts in a small group setting. New this year, interactive
technology will be utilized during several presentations, to help
attendees evaluate their medical knowledge throughout the
meeting. The deadline for early registration for the State-ofthe-Art Clinical Symposium is March 9, 2007; after that
date, registration fees will increase. There is a separate registration fee for the Practice Management Course. For complete

the Chinese Medical Association, the Shanghai Jiao Tong
University School of Medicine, and the Shanghai Medical
Center for Rheumatology. Official language will be English.
Registration fees, if received before April 15, 2007, are as
follows: $450 for participants, $100 for guests, $150 for trainees, $100 for patients, and $550 for corporate representatives.
