This invention relates to a novel refrigerant on the motor which might cause trouble during

The compressor l is here shown as an ordinary
piston compressor with crank-shaft. It is evi
dent, that a vrotary piston compressor or the

closed. The armature ‘I of the motor is slipped

it can easily be removed. The armature l and
the stator winding 8 are accommodated in a

casing 2 is gas tightly ?tted at 9 on the compres
sor casing. The compressor wall ll extends con
tinuously from one end to the other,v or is di
vided at the connecting point 9 with the motor
30 casing 2. The interior space .3 of the compressor
receives the cooling medium or oil, or both. The
compressor shaft 4 serves ‘at the same time as
armature shaft of the motor. ‘ The shaft 4 runs
in bearings 5 and 6 arranged inside the com
35 pressor casing. A suitably constructed shaft

inner space l2 ‘of the motor casing is likewise
packed against the atmosphere by the wall 2.
The crank case 3 and the space l2 of the motor 20
casing are protected and separated by a wall
which belongs either to the casing 2 or to the
casing ll. At the point at which this gas-proof
partition is mounted, through which the com
mon shaft 4 extends, the shaft packing I0 is 25
arranged.
This novel construction therefore ‘
possesses all the advantages of a gas-tightly
closed refrigerant'compressor and nevertheless
allows the driving‘motor to be easily exchanged.
