ESSIEU.
The chassis longeron for a caravan has, on its lower side, a recess
(3,3') onto which is fixed a horizontal flange (5), to retain the
axle. The flange has a vertical plate (4) with a height equal to the
thickness of the longeron, and welded to it. The longeron can be in
two sections formed of a pressed sheet (1,1'), each having half of the
recess, which abut and are spot welded to the vertical plate on the
axle flange. The recess around the axle increases the ground clearance
of the body to allow passage of cables or brake lines.
Description

La presente invention est relative a un longeron de chassis
destine,notamment,aux remorques dites caravanes.
Elle vise principalement la realisation d'un longeron plus leger mais
aussi resistant que ceux usuels et presentant une faible garde au
sol,celle-ci etant necessaire pour assurer une bonne stabilite et une
resistance minimale a l'avancement de la caravane ainsi que pour
faciliter son acces.
Selon un mode de realisation, chaque longeron,realise en tole pliee
par exemple,presente, a l'endroit de passage de l'essieu et a sa
partie inferieure,une echancrure recevant une eclisse, en tole plus
epaisse que celle du longeron, fixee contre l'aile verticale dudit
longeron.
L'eclisse est pliee en equerre a sa partie inferieure de facon a
former une aile horizontale,s'etendant a la hauteur du bord superieur
de l'echancrure precitee c'est-a-dire bien audessus du bord inferieur
du longeron,sous laquelle on fixe,a l'aide de boulons, la bride
usuelle de 1'essieu.
Preferablement, l'essieu est realise en deux parties aboutees
solidarisees par l'eclisse precitee,le tout etant soude par points.
D'autres caracteristiques appraitront mieux dans la description qui va
suivre et en se referant au dessin annexe a titre
d'exemple,uniquement;indicatif, dans lequel

l'autre de la partie interessee du longeron
La figure 3 en est une vue en perspective eclatee
La figure 4 est une coupe effectuee par IV-IV de la figure 1;
La figure 5 est une vue de cote, a plus petite echelle montrant la
fixation d'un essieu sous l'aile horizontale de l'eclisse.
En se reportant au dessin, on voit que les deux parties 1-1' du
longeron, realisees en tole pliee de 2m/m d'epaisseur par exemple,
sont aboutees par leurs extremites 2-2' echancrees en 3-3' a leur
partie inferieure.
Les deux parties 1-1' sont solidarisees par une eclisse
4,convenablement pliee en U pour former une nervure de raidissement,
realisee en tole pliee de 2,5m/m d'epaisseur par exemple,presentant
principalement a sa partie inferieure une aile 5 horizontale se
placant sous le bord inferieur des echancrures 3-3' pour s'etendre du
cote du longeron oppose a l'eclisse 4.
Les parties 1-1' et l'eclisse 4 sont solidarisees par soudure
electrique par points.
L'essieu usuel E est fixe sous l'aile 5 par sa bride B a l'aide de
boulons C ( figure 5).
On voit nettement sur la figure 5 que l'echancrure des deux parties du
longeron permet, d'une part, le surbaissement de celui-ci,donc la
diminution de la garde au sol et, d'autre part, le libre passage du
cable ou de la canalisation de frein (non represente ).
Enfin, avec un tel mode de realisation, chaque longeron est
considerablement renforce a l'endroit ou la charge est maximale
puisque son epaisseur est plus que doublee au dessus de l'essieu.
Bien entendu, le mode de realisation decrit et represente s'etend aux
longerons realises en une seule partie ainsi qu'a ceux obtenus par
emboutissage.
Elle s'etend aussi aux chassis de tous vehicules tractes ou tracteurs.

REVENDICATIONS
1-Longeron de chassis destine, notamment, aux remorques dites
caravanes, caracterise en ce que son bord inferieur presente a
l'endroit devant recevoir l'essieu (E),une echancrure (3-3'i sous le
bord superieur de laquelle s'etend une aile horizontale (5) sous
laquelle on fixe ledit essieu.
2-Longeron de chassis destine, notamment, aux remorques dites
caravanes, selon la revendication 1, caracterise en ce que l'aile
horizontale prolonge la partie inferieure d'une eclisse (4)realisee en
tole plus epaisse que celle du longeron, rendue solidaire de l'aile
verticale dudit longeron.
3-Longeron de chassis destine, notamment, aux remorques dites
caravanes,selon chacune des revendications 1 et 2, caracterise en ce
qu'il est realise en deux parties (1-1'). en tole pliee, comportant
chacune une demi echancrure (3 ou (3'), lesdites parties etant
aboutees et solidarisees par l'eclisse (4) soudee electriquement par
points.

ability to mark the relative locations of highlighted items by
using the "Marker" option [ [marker.png] ].
Try these out to best understand how they work, and to discover if
they are of use to you.
13. Items selected from the menu on the left will be highlighted in
the main publication section (here in the middle of the screen).
Click them for further information and insights (including
chemical structure diagrams where available).
14. Please experiment with TextMine - you cannot make any permanent
changes or break anything and once your session is closed (you've
log out) all your activity is destroyed.
