DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a horn-type
speaker with improved high frequency phase characteristics and flat frequency characteristics.
An embodiment of the present invention will be discussed below with reference to the drawings.
First, in FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a horn type speaker main body, and a plate 2, a
magnet 3 and a yoke 4 constitute a good air circuit. A voice coil 5 and a diaphragm 6 constitute a
vibration system, and a small gap is formed between the diaphragm 6 and the horn 7 and the
equalizer 8. On the other hand, a small hole 9 which does not penetrate is provided in the surface
of the equalizer 8 facing the diaphragm 6. The small holes 9 form an acoustic capacity, and the
vibration of the diaphragm 6 forms a thin air flow layer between the diaphragm 6 and the
equalizer 8. The mass of the air moving at the inlet of the small hole 9 and the acoustic capacity
of the small hole 9 cause resonance. By selecting this resonance frequency as the valley of the
sound pressure generated by the phase difference of the sound radiated from the portions A and
