General Description of the Job
Responsible for developing and implementing best practice procurement and contract management activities for the Customer Experience Programme and the re-tender of the ICT Managed Service Contracts. The job holder also enables Exec and Business owners to effectively manage the Strategic Procurement Plan and the performance of key supplier relationships.
Main Duties of the Job
1.Ensures PPF (as a public body) complies with EU, UK and other relevant legislation and regulation impacting purchasing and procurement activities.2.Manages tendering, evaluation, selection and appointment processes (OJEU compliant where required) for three major procurements in accordance with the Strategic Procurement Plan and in close collaboration with business areas.2.Manages procurement and purchasing activity working closely with the business owners to deliver value-for-money (VfM) outcomes.3.Ensures that all procurement and purchasing actions are appropriately documented, through contracts, purchase orders, letters of engagement or other appropriate means.4.Monitors supplier performance and, together with business owners, intervenes to ensure that the service is being delivered as agreed, to the required level of performance and quality.5.Ensure the relationship between the PPF and its suppliers is open and constructive, aiming to resolve or ease tensions and identify problems early.6.Develops, in collaboration with business owners, initiatives to continuously improve VfM, quality, SLA performance, business continuity, sustainability and other aspects of PPF's supplier partnerships.7.Monitors business owners' compliance with the PPF procurement policy and proactively identifies risks of challenge in relation to procurement activities. 8.Ensures full exchange of financial information with Finance Business Partners so that procurement and purchasing activities and projects for investment are appropriately reflected in PPF budgets and forecasts.
